Using cnic.sims.pk, step by step
Type the address yourself, cnic.sims.pk, and bookmark it once you’re there. Enter your 13-digit CNIC without dashes (NICOP or POC digits go in the same box), solve the CAPTCHA, and submit. The result screen lists your SIMs per operator with an activation date against each one.
Read it the same way you’d read a 668 reply, with one upgrade. Counts tell you how many; the dates tell you since when. A SIM you don’t recognize with a fresh activation date is a live problem worth same-day action, while one dated 2014 is usually a forgotten purchase. Both cases get exact moves on the count page.
Nothing to install, nothing to pay. The portal runs in your browser and holds no login, which also means there’s no account for anyone to steal.
The activation-date column is legal evidence
Since PTA’s 24 May 2026 advisory, a newly activated SIM can’t be disowned or transferred for 365 days, counted from the very date this portal displays. That advisory turned a quiet column into a running clock. Screenshot your results with the dates visible and you’re holding three proofs at once: what existed on your CNIC, since when, and when you knew.

cnic.sims.pk treats a NICOP or POC exactly like a CNIC, which makes it the natural overseas check — no Pakistani SIM, no roaming, no calls home. Expats in the Gulf, UK or anywhere else run the same 60-second routine as everyone in Lahore.

Mistakes and fake portals to avoid
The real danger isn’t the portal; it’s the lookalikes. Search results and social ads push domains that imitate cnic.sims.pk, collect the CNICs typed into them, and feed the same data-selling racket we document on the pak sim data page. Type the address yourself, check the domain spelling before entering anything, and bookmark the genuine one. That one habit beats the whole trap on its own.
Smaller stumbles, quickly: dashes in the CNIC field (digits only), giving up at one failed CAPTCHA (refresh and retry), ignoring the date column entirely, and running the check once a year instead of monthly. And the big one — entering someone else’s CNIC “just to see”. The portal answers, but PECA Section 16 makes that lookup an offence, and it’s your fingerprint on the request.

Can I check a family member’s CNIC on the portal?
Only with their knowledge and for their benefit — ideally with them present. Entering someone’s CNIC without authorization sits inside PECA Section 16, family or not. The clean route: they run it, you help read it.
