What “sims.bio” claims to offer
“Sims bio” is what people type for sims.bio, a website promoted in videos and forwarded posts as a “sim bio data” service for Pakistan. The pitch attached to the name is one line: enter any mobile number or CNIC and read back the owner’s record — name, address, network. The name leans on “bio data”, the everyday Pakistani word for personal details.
We could not open the site itself to quote it — more on that below — but one thing is certain from the outside: sims.bio is not PTA, NADRA or any mobile operator, because their checks run only through 668, 667, 76367 and cnic.sims.pk. Even AI-generated answers about “sims bio” sometimes wander into The Sims video game. The people searching are not gamers; they want a number identified, and that is the one thing no site can lawfully deliver.
The brand travels, too. A near-twin, sim-bio.org, appears in the same searches, and misspellings like “sims.boi” have become search terms of their own. When one address dies, the promise returns under the next — the same churn that already burned through PakSim GA and its sibling brands.
Does sims.bio open in Pakistan?
We tested sims.bio from inside Pakistan on 28 August 2026. The connection reset before anything arrived — the browser’s ERR_CONNECTION_RESET — which is how blocked lookup domains typically behave on Pakistani networks.
A reset is not a court order, and the domain may load from other countries. But the dated fact stands: on 28 August 2026, from a Pakistani connection, sims.bio did not open. Any video claiming otherwise owes you a date and a screenshot.
The search trail tells its own story. The SIM checks that really exist
Pakistan runs self-checks, not public lookups. Four official routes exist, and every one stops at your own record.
- 668 by SMS. Text your own 13-digit CNIC, no dashes, to 668. Each operator replies with the SIMs registered to you on its network, for about Rs 2 including tax. Our 668 guide walks through it.
- cnic.sims.pk, free. PTA’s SIM Information System shows the SIMs against your CNIC at no cost; clear the reCAPTCHA and read the result. The portal walkthrough takes you past its quirks.
- 667 from the SIM itself. Text “MNP” to 667 from the SIM in your hand and you get that SIM’s own record: number, registered name, often-masked CNIC, IMSI, activation date, connection type. Nothing about anyone else.
- 76367 for network only. Text “N” plus a number to 76367 for the network it currently sits on, at Rs 2 plus tax. A name never comes back; the limit is built in on purpose.
None of the four will put a name to a stranger’s number. The entire sims.bio pitch lives on the far side of that line.
Why a stranger lookup is illegal
Section 16 of PECA 2016 covers identity information: obtaining, selling, possessing, transmitting or using it without authorisation. The penalty runs to three years in prison, a fine reaching Rs 5,000,000, or both at once — and it catches the person who fetches a record, not only the one who sells it. The data question and the legal question are one question. The only stock a site like sims.bio could hold is other people’s leaked records, and holding, buying or serving them is the offence itself.
What to do instead
Behind most “sim bio data check” searches sits one of four needs, and each one has a lawful route.
- See your own SIMs. Text your CNIC to 668, or open cnic.sims.pk free. The answer comes from the registry itself; no website stands in between.
- Identify an unknown caller. No website will lawfully do it. Get the network from 76367 if that helps, block the number, and take harassment to NCCIA on 1799.
- You already used such a site. Assume what you typed was kept. Ignore any WhatsApp follow-up selling a “full report” — that upsell is the real business — and never send money.
- Get it reported. Hand PTA the URL and screenshots through 0800-55055 or complaint.pta.gov.pk, and file with NCCIA on 1799.
