Privacy Policy
Short version: we never collect, store or sell your CNIC number or your phone number. This Privacy Policy covers CnicSimInfo (“we”, “us”, “the site”, cnicsiminfo.pk). It explains what happens to data when you read our free guide, and it sets out the choices you have. Last updated: 5 August 2026.

1. This Privacy Policy: Scope & Introduction
This privacy policy covers the cnicsiminfo.pk website only. CnicSimInfo is a free guide, run from Pakistan, that explains how to check the SIMs registered on your own CNIC through the official routes: SMS 668, the cnic.sims.pk portal, 667 and 76367. We are an independent publisher. We are not PTA, not NADRA and not a mobile operator. We have no tie to them and no access to their systems. Other websites we link to run their own privacy policies. This privacy policy does not cover those sites.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
We hold no CNIC record and no SIM record about you. None at all. That single fact shapes every clause of this privacy policy. In plain terms:
- We do NOT collect, store, log, sell or share your CNIC number.
- We do NOT collect, store, log, sell or share your phone number.
- We run NO SIM-lookup tool that accepts another person’s number.
- We keep NO database of SIM owners, CNICs or phone numbers.
- No PTA, NADRA or government database is within our reach.
Anything you enter into an official tool goes to PTA, not to us. That is true for SMS 668 and for the cnic.sims.pk portal.
Say you text your 13-digit CNIC to 668. The message leaves your phone and reaches PTA through your mobile operator, at a cost of about Rs 2. The reply tells you how many SIMs sit on your CNIC on each network. We never see the message, the CNIC or the reply. We only publish the instructions.
3. Information We Do Collect
Three ordinary things reach us under this privacy policy, and not one of them is a CNIC or a phone number:
- What you send us. You may email us or use our contact form. We then get the name, email address and message you choose to send. We use it only to reply to you. Our form is delivered by a third-party form service (FormSubmit). It forwards your message to us and handles only what you submit.
- Basic technical data. Our web host records a little data by itself. That means your IP address, often truncated or anonymized. It also means your browser and device type, the pages you view, the page that sent you here and the time. This is standard server data. It is not a profile of you.
- Aggregate visit measurement. Google Analytics is connected to this site through Google’s Site Kit plugin, so Google measures visits on our behalf: pages viewed, approximate location, device type. Analytics and advertising storage start in a denied state and switch on only if you press Accept on the cookie notice. We read totals in a dashboard, never a named reader.
We never ask for your CNIC or your phone number. Please do not put either one in an email or in the form. You do not need to share them to get help from us.
4. Cookies — First-Party
We use a small number of first-party cookies, and they exist to keep basic features working. This section of the privacy policy lists what they do. Your accept-or-decline answer to the cookie notice is not even a cookie: the site saves it in your browser’s own local storage, under the name csi_consent, on your device. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and every guide on this site still works if you do.
5. Cookies & Advertising — Google AdSense
In plain English, the privacy policy position is simple: ads bring their own cookies. Where ads appear, Google and other vendors may set cookies in your browser. Those cookies belong to them, not to us. Before you answer the cookie notice, this site tells Google to keep ad storage, ad personalization, ad user data and analytics storage denied, which is Google Consent Mode sitting in its default-denied state. Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to your website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet. Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings (myadcenter.google.com). Alternatively, you can direct users to opt out of a third-party vendor’s use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting youradchoices.com.
Third parties may place and read cookies on your browser, or use web beacons, as a result of ad serving on this site.
6. Third-Party Vendors & Ad Networks
Ads are served by Google, and other ad-tech vendors may take part. We do not control their cookies. Google’s advertising practices are set out in its ads and data policy. For other vendors, see youradchoices.com and the Network Advertising Initiative (thenai.org).
7. Log Files
Our host keeps standard server logs, the same as almost every website: IP address, user agent, time and the pages requested. We read them for security and for fixing faults, not to work out who you are. They are kept only as long as they are needed, then they rotate.
8. Children’s Privacy
This site is intended for adults checking their own identity records, and this privacy policy is written on that basis. We do not knowingly collect data from children. We also do not allow ad targeting based on users known to be under 13. That is consistent with Google’s policies and COPPA norms.
9. Data Security
The site runs over HTTPS, and we apply reasonable safeguards. We also hold almost no personal data, so your exposure on this site is minimal. Even so, no transfer over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot promise perfect security, and no honest privacy policy would claim otherwise.
10. Your Rights & Choices
You stay in control here, mainly because there is so little to control. Under this privacy policy, here is what you can do:
- Ask us to delete any email you have sent us.
- Ask what we hold about you. The answer is normally this: only your email, if you wrote to us.
- Block or clear cookies in your browser settings.
- Opt out of personalized ads at youradchoices.com and Google’s Ads Settings at myadcenter.google.com.
- Read the whole site without contacting us at all. There is no sign-up and no account.
11. International Data Transfers
Google and other providers may process data on servers outside Pakistan. That is normal for global ad and hosting services, and this privacy policy flags it plainly. By using the site, you understand that these third parties may move such data across borders. Their own policies govern what happens to it.
12. Legal Basis & Pakistan Context
We operate under Pakistani law, including PECA 2016. Section 16 of that law makes it an offence to obtain or use another person’s identity information without lawful authority. That is one reason we run no lookup tool. You can only ever check your own record, through PTA’s own channels.
As of August 2026, Pakistan does NOT yet have a dedicated personal-data-protection statute in force. The Personal Data Protection Bill, in its 2023 draft, was approved in principle by the Federal Cabinet but has never been passed by Parliament. Until that changes, this privacy policy applies GDPR-style transparency as our own standard.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. A change takes effect when we post it here. The “Last updated” date at the top of the page always shows the current version. Check that date if you want to know when the privacy policy last changed.

More privacy policy questions, answered
Do you store CNIC numbers typed into any on-site checker?
No. As this privacy policy explains, any checker on this site runs entirely inside your browser. What you type never leaves your device. It is never sent to us, or to any server we control. The only parties that see a CNIC you check officially are PTA’s own 668 service and the cnic.sims.pk portal.
Do you run Google Analytics or similar trackers?
Yes, one: Google Analytics is connected to cnicsiminfo.pk through Google’s Site Kit plugin, so Google measures visits on our behalf. We read totals in a dashboard, never a named reader, and those figures sit with Google rather than in any database of ours. Analytics and advertising storage stay denied until you press Accept on the cookie notice. Server logs are the only other record.
How do I opt out of personalized ads?
Press Decline on our cookie notice, which keeps Google’s ad storage and ad personalization switched off from your first visit. For a wider opt-out, use the industry tool at youradchoices.com and Google’s own Ads Settings at myadcenter.google.com. Opting out does not remove ads from a page; it only stops them being tailored to your past browsing, so general ads can still appear.
Do you ever sell or share reader data?
Never. This privacy policy is blunt on that point: there is nothing here to sell, because we hold no CNIC or phone-number database of any kind. The only personal data we ever touch is an email you choose to send us. That stays in the inbox. We do not pass it to advertisers, data brokers or anyone else.
How do I get my data deleted?
Email hello [at] cnicsiminfo.pk with the subject “Privacy”. We store nothing beyond your messages to us. Deletion therefore means erasing those emails from our inbox. We confirm back to you within 7 days. There is no form to fill in and no account to close, because you never had one.

Does CnicSimInfo store my CNIC or phone number?
No. We collect nothing, store nothing and look up nothing. Any checker on the page runs inside your browser. Your CNIC or number goes only to the official PTA channel you choose, such as SMS 668 or cnic.sims.pk. It never reaches us, and we keep no database at all.
Do you use cookies or show ads?
Yes, but only a few. We use a small set of essential first-party cookies so the site works. Your accept-or-decline choice is saved in the browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. If advertising such as Google AdSense is shown, third-party cookies may also be set by those vendors. Until you accept, Google’s ad and analytics storage stays denied. How do I make a privacy request?

Can you tell me who owns a phone number?
No. We have no owner-lookup tool, no SIM database and no access to PTA or NADRA systems. Under PECA 2016, Section 16, getting another person’s identity information without lawful authority is an offence. The official channels only ever show you the SIMs registered on your own CNIC.
